A general GP consultation is a broad appointment that covers a wide range of
health concerns. There is no fixed agenda, your appointment is about you, your health, and whatever is on your mind.
You might come in for something straightforward, or you might not be sure what is wrong at all. Either way, your GP is trained to listen, assess, and guide you toward the right next step.

Our GPs see patients for a wide range of everyday health concerns, including:
Acute Illnesses & Infections
Colds, flu, chest infections, urinary tract infections, ear and throat infections, skin infections, and other short-term illnesses that need assessment and treatment.
Preventative Health & Health Checks
Regular health check-ups help catch potential issues before they become bigger problems. Our GPs can assess your overall health, review your risk factors, and recommend any relevant screening or investigations.
Repeat Prescriptions & Medication Reviews
If you are on ongoing medication, your GP can review your prescriptions, check for any interactions, and make sure your treatment is still appropriate for your current health needs. Please note that an appointment is required for all repeat prescriptions.
Referrals to Specialists
When you need care beyond what a GP provides, we can refer you to the right specialist. Our GPs will make sure you are referred to someone appropriate for your specific condition and circumstances.
Blood Tests & Investigations
Your GP can arrange blood tests, pathology requests, ECGs, and imaging referrals to help diagnose or monitor your health. Results are discussed at a follow-up appointment.
Vaccinations & Immunisations
We provide a range of vaccinations for children and adults, including seasonal flu vaccines, travel vaccinations, and routine immunisations. Some vaccines may be available free of charge for eligible patients.
Certificates & Documentation
Our GPs can provide medical certificates, fitness-to-work assessments, and other documentation as required. Some documentation services may incur a private fee, please check with reception at the time of booking.
Mental Health Support
If you are feeling anxious, low, or overwhelmed, your GP is a safe and practical first point of contact. We can assess your needs and connect you with appropriate support, including a Mental Health Care Plan where eligible.
Chronic Condition Management
For patients living with ongoing health conditions such as diabetes, asthma, heart disease, or arthritis, our GPs provide structured, long-term care and management plans to help you stay on top of your health.

New Patients
If you are visiting Mambourin Doctors for the first time, please arrive at least five minutes before your appointment. You will need to bring:
- A valid Medicare card
- Photo ID
- Any current medication list or scripts
- Relevant medical history or specialist letters if applicable
You are also welcome to complete a new patient registration form on our website
before your visit to save time on the day.
Appointment Times
Standard appointments are 15 minutes. If you have multiple concerns or feel you may need more time, please let our reception team know when booking so we can allocate a longer appointment for you.

Fees & Bulk Billing
Mambourin Doctors is a bulk billing practice. All general GP consultations are
bulk billed for eligible patients, including:
- All patients with a valid Medicare card
- Children 15 years and under
- Pensioner Concession Card holders aged 65 and over
- DVA Gold Card holders
