Allied Health Services
Allied Health Services
At Mambourin Doctors, we believe that great healthcare goes beyond a GP consultation. Our allied health services work alongside your GP care to support your physical health, function, and overall wellbeing, all under one roof.
What Is Allied Health?
Allied health refers to a range of healthcare professions that support diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation outside of medicine and nursing. Allied health practitioners work alongside your GP to provide specialised, hands-on care tailored to your individual needs.
Having access to allied health services at your local GP clinic means more connected, coordinated care, without the hassle of being referred across town.

If you are unsure whether chiropractic care may be appropriate for your condition, speak with your GP or contact our clinic. We are happy to help you find the right pathway.
Medicare Care Plans for Allied Health
If you have a chronic condition, you may be eligible for a Chronic Disease Management Plan through Medicare. A Chronic Disease Management Plan is prepared by your GP and provides Medicare rebates for 5 allied health visits per calendar year.
This means eligible patients can access chiropractic care and other allied health services at a significantly reduced out-of-pocket cost.
To find out whether you are eligible, speak with your GP at your next appointment.
